Activity

Sol3g is one of the first companies at world-wide level in commercializing HCPV systems. The company centers its activity in the consultancy, investigation, manufacture and commercialization of third generation photovoltaic systems, particularly specialized in high concentration systems, non-imaging optics and advanced intelligent electro-mechanical tracking and control systems.

Mission

Sol3g was founded in 2004 with the objective to offer more efficient and economic systems of photovoltaic conversion than the conventional photovoltaic systems.

Sistemas HCPV

The current technology of the crystalline silicon panel does not allow the photovoltaic generation to reach competitive prices of electrical generation due to the great amount of silicon needed and to its shortage of supplies of electronic or solar quality.

For that reason, Sol3g has launched to the market a totally new product that reduces the cost of photovoltaic conversion to half.

Present time

At present Sol3g already commercializes its HCPV technology at national as well as at international level. Sol3g has just inaugurated a new factory of 800m2 in Terrassa with an annual productive capacity of 5Mw. The future plans of the company are to increase the production capacity up to 10 Mw/year for the end of 2008 and to maintain an intense work of investigation and development to continue leading the world-wide market of HCPV systems.

Philosophy

The purpose of Sol3g is to contribute, by making more affordable photovoltaic systems, to an important saving of fossil energy and a significant reduction of CO2 emissions.
