Thanks to constant improvement of the cell's efficiency, we expect the cells to reach an efficiency of 50% in the near future thus improving module efficiency.
Solar tracking Cell efficiency could be increased in the near future up to 50%, being the theoretical limit around 70%. Solar tracking technology HCPV (High Concentration Photovoltaic) of Sol3g requires, just as all concentration systems, a 2 axis solar tracking in order to have the sensible element of the module focused towards the sun. Concentration systems work correctly only when they receive direct irradiation (DNI - Direct Normal Irradiation). The module offers a half angle acceptance of 1,15º, higher than in most concentration systems. In this way we manage to correct possible errors of the solar tracking system, giving more flexibility and yield to the whole system.
