Gira-Sol System
Projects
The Gira-Sol System (patent pending) has been entirely developed by Sol3g. It is a concentration photovoltaic system designed for flat-roof or ground based sites, perfectly scalable from small to large installations.
Three novel technologies are integrated in the Gira-Sol System: Tandem multi-junction photovoltaic cells, non imaging concentration optics, decentralized 2 axis solar tracking technology.

Concentration systems can allow for a dramatic cost reduction in photovoltaic installations. We expect our product to cost around 2 € per Wp when a yearly production volume of 10 MWp will be reached, comparing to the present 6 € per Wp for flat panel technology.

The Gira-Sol System brings concentration systems down to hearth literally. We have designed a very flat profile and compact module that offers in a single unit all the sun tracking functionality necessary for high photovoltaic concentration. By taking profit on last developments in information technology and robotics, we can offer a very cheap all-in-one product, without putting a burden on installation costs or a limit on the places it can be used.
